This Policy explains what Brim ("Brim", "we", "us") does with information when you use the Brim app on iPhone or Android. The short version: Brim has no accounts and no servers of its own. Your dose history, your answers and your saturation estimate live on your phone and nowhere else.
All of this is written to a private database inside Brim's own app storage. It is not uploaded anywhere, and there is no way for us to read it.
Brim only ever reads health data, and never writes it. If you grant permission, Brim reads two things: your body weight, to keep your recommended dose accurate as your weight changes, and your workouts or exercise sessions, to mark training days in the app.
Health data is used on your device for those two purposes and nothing else. It is never transmitted off your device, never used for advertising or marketing, never sold, and never disclosed to any third party — including our analytics provider. We do not share it with any other app, and we do not retain a copy of it beyond what the app needs while it is running.
Health access is optional; Brim works fully without it. You can grant or revoke it at any time:
Note that creatine is not a data type Apple Health or Health Connect supports, so your doses cannot be written there even if you wanted them to be.
Subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple through the App Store on iPhone, and by Google through Google Play on Android. Brim is told only whether you currently have an active subscription. We never see or receive your name, card details or billing address.
Brim uses Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to count anonymous, aggregated events (for example: a screen was opened, a purchase completed, the app crashed) together with standard technical data — device model, operating system version, app version, and a random installation identifier generated by the SDK.
This data is not linked to your identity, and no content from your dose log, your plan or your health data is ever included in it.
AD_ID permission and advertising-ID collection is switched off in the Firebase SDK.Each processes data under its own terms. No other third party receives anything.
Because your data is stored only on your device, deleting Brim deletes all of it — dose history, plan and settings — immediately and permanently. There is no server copy for us to delete and no export for us to hand over. Revoking health access, in iOS Settings or in Health Connect, stops any further reading at once.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or port your personal data, or to object to its processing (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA). Since Brim holds your data only on your own device, you can exercise all of these directly and immediately from the app or by deleting it. For anything else, write to us.
Brim is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect anything from them. It gives guidance about a dietary supplement, which is not appropriate for minors without medical supervision.
Brim is an informational and tracking tool, not a medical device. The saturation percentage is a model estimate calculated from the doses you log using published creatine kinetics — it is not a measurement of your body and not a test result. Nothing in Brim diagnoses, treats, cures or prevents any condition. Talk to a qualified healthcare professional before starting any supplement, particularly if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have kidney or liver conditions, or take prescription medication.
Your records stay in Brim's private app storage, protected by operating-system app sandboxing and device encryption. Traffic from the platform and Firebase SDKs is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). No system is perfectly secure, but keeping your data off the internet entirely removes most of the risk.
If this Policy changes materially, the "Last updated" date above will change and the revised Policy will be published at this address.
